Karlene S. Molinaro, 78, of Warren, PA., died Monday evening,

March 20, 2017 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home after a

extended illness, surrounded by her family. She was born May

10, 1938 in Ridgway, PA. She was daughter of Henry O.K. and

Madeline Hartweg Smith. Karlene was a Warren area resident

most of her life and formerly of Conneaut Lake and Ridgway, PA.

She was a 1956 graduate of Ridgway High School and earned her

Bachelor’s Degree in English and Library Sciences from Clarion

State Teachers College. Karlene was employed as Head Librarian

at Conneaut Lake High School and in the Editing Department at

Blair Corporation retiring from there after 24 years employment.

She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church where she was a

church greeter, instrumental with the formation of the adoration

committee, and former treasurer of the school P.T.U.

Karlene was also a member of Beta Sigma Sorority. She was an

avid quilter, lover of books, music, birds, flowers, the outdoors

and completing jigsaw puzzles. She was known for always

baking a dessert for every meal. She had great affection for the

Cleveland Indians Baseball Team. Her greatest joy in life was

being a wife, mother and grandmother, her family was her life.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Peter F. Molinaro

whom she married August 13, 1960 in Ridgway, PA.

9 Children – Amy Page and husband, Tom, Ann Smith and

husband, Rick all of Richmond, VA., Peter M. Molinaro and wife,

Lori, Christopher Molinaro and wife, Hollie all of Pittsburgh, PA.,

David M. Molinaro and wife, Beverly, Alice Fadale and husband,

Eric, Arlene L. Molinaro, Andrea N. Kiehl and husband, Mike,

Francis K. Molinaro all of Warren, PA., 1 Brother – Norman Smith

of Warren, PA., 1 Sister – Noel Murphy of Ridgway, PA., 15

Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her

brother – Kenneth Smith.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304

East Street, Warren, PA., on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 2 to 4

and 6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 1:45

P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday,

March 25, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600

Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA., with Fr. Richard

Tomasone, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the

Mausoleum of the Resurrection in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
