Marjorie Lopez, 77, of Warren, PA died on Monday morning, September 17, 2012 at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House. She was born March 28, 1935 in Falconer, NY to the late Elmer and Linnea Francis.

Marjorie graduated from Falconer High School and was a resident of Warren for the past 56 years. She was employed by the city of Warren as a bookkeeper for many years until her retirement. Marjorie believed in natural health and well-being and promoted this as an active Shaklee distributor. She loved music classical to pop and spent her summers enjoying concerts, symphonies, operas and theatre at Chautauqua Institution.

As a member of the Unity of Chautauqua Church, she loved and served her church as a longtime member of their board of directors. Every Sunday throughout the Chautauqua season she cooked and served a luncheon for the public at her church. Marjorie loved the Warren community and served it in many different ways over the years. She was an active and supportive volunteer of the Struthers Library Theater, a member of the Women’s Club, the Lion and Lioness clubs, Philomel club, the Garden club and the Antique Study club, along with tirelessly volunteering for many city organizations and events over the years.

Marjorie was famous for making outstanding homemade pies – apple, rhubarb, cherry, pecan, berry and that unforgettable pie crust. May a smile come upon your face as you remember your favorite!

Marjorie is survived by her daughters – Susan George of Warren and Sally (Kent) Heeter of Key Largo, FL.; a sister – Alice (Ralph) Brown of Randolph, NY; a brother in law – William Johnson of Warren along with many nieces and nephews and their children. She was preceded in death by two sisters – Laura Johnson of Warren and Faye Caswell of Falconer.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St, Warren, PA 16365 on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Interfaith Chapel located on the Warren State Hospital grounds with Rev. Ron Neff from Unity of Chautauqua conducting the service.
