Wrayburn F. Haynes, Sr., 92, of Russell, PA. and formerly of Warren, PA. died Thursday evening, July 26, 2012 at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness. He was born June 9, 1920 in Bradford, PA. to the late Clarence and Violet Allison Haynes. He grew up in Port Allegany, PA. and has resided in Warren since 1945. Wrayburn had served during World War II with the U.S. Army as a Private First Class, fighting at the Battle of the Bulge with the 354th Infantry Regiment and a Scout for Company F, 89th Division. He owned and operated Haynes Keystone and B & R Auto as a mechanic retiring in 1987 after many years service. Wrayburn was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his dogs and cats, especially his cat, Gin Gin. He is remembered for having a great sense of humor, right up to the end of his life.

He is survived by his 3 children – Wrayburn F. Haynes, Jr. and his wife, Ruby of Springcreek, PA., Rosalee Feeny and husband, John of Warren, PA., Jeannie Riggle and her husband, Jeff of Russell, PA., Good Friends – Cynthia Simonsen of Russell, PA., Mike & Lisa Card and their children of Warren, PA., 7 Grandchildren – Becky Bostick of Alexandria, VA., Stewart Genberg of Reston, VA., Rosemari Carnahan of Russell, PA., Tonya Geer of Corry, PA., Rayna Tucher of Warren, PA., Wrayburn Haynes III of Hampton, VA., Monica Riggle of Erie, PA., 12 Great Grandchildren; A step-daughter -Margaret P. Genberg of Alexandria, VA., and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June Eshbaugh Haynes whom he married February 25, 1941, 3 Sisters – Beulah Haynes, Virginia Schillinger, Merriel Curry, 1 Great Grandson – Wrayburg Haynes, IV.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Monday from Noon until 2:00 P.M. when a funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Kevin Haley, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park where full military honors will be conducted by members of the Clarendon/Sheffield V.F.W. Funeral Detail and the U.S. Army personnel.
