Shirley M. Pearson, 99, of Warren, PA, passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2023, in the Warren General Hospital.
She was born in Cassadaga, New York on April 26, 1924, the daughter of the late Walter L. and Marion Albee Mellor. Shirley was a graduate of Russell High School, Class of 1942. She worked for JC Penney’s for 15 years and worked for PNC Bank as a teller for 15 years as well. Shirley loved to travel, she and her husband Stanley traveled all over the United States traveling to all but two states, they also traveled to Europe, and Puerto Rico. In her later years she enjoyed walking, puzzles, and spending time with her loving family.

Shirley was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she volunteered with numerous committees. She was also a founding member of Sweet Adelines.

On April 6, 1946, she married Stanley L. Pearson in Painesville, OH, and they spent 77 years of loving marriage together.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Stanley L. Pearson, of Warren, PA; one daughter, Kathryn A. Albaugh of Clarendon; three grandchildren, Karla Drake and husband Darren of Virginia Beach, VA, Chris Albaugh and wife Jena of Sheffield, PA, and Todd Albaugh of Warren, PA; five great grandchildren, Mason, Cale, Nolan, Alyssa, Adam; one great great-grandson, Ryland; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son in law, Doyle Albaugh, sister, Beatrice Koch, and her brother, Walter Mellor.

Friends may call at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the church with the Rev. William “Bill” Beatty, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
