Robert Tucker

Robert D. “Bob” Tucker, 91, of Warren, PA. died Monday evening, November 26, 2012 at Golden Living-Kinzua. He was born January 21, 1921 in Johnsonburg, PA. to the late Gilbert and Helen Horne Tucker. He has resided in Warren his entire life. Bob was a 1939 graduate of Warren, where he was a star basketball player. Bob had served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Seaman 1st Class, serving on the Great Lakes and Hawaii and guarding a light house. He was employed with Deluxe Metal as a parts assembler, retiring from there after 45 years service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he had served as a part time custodian. He was the Canterbury Court Newspaper Boy, enjoyed gardening, music, harmonica playing, walking the bike trail and watching the Warren High School Sports Teams.

He is survived by his 3 Children – Robert D. “Robby” Tucker, III and his wife, Sue, Bill A. Tucker and his wife, Dee Dee all of Warren, PA., Stephen Tucker and his companion, Gregory Tucker of Rochester, N.Y., 1 Brother – Neil Tucker and wife, Kitty of Warren, PA., 2 Sisters – Phyllis Cable of Warren, PA., Janice Lewis and husband, Retired Colonial Vincent of Hershey, PA., 3 Grandchildren – Emily Laird and husband, Price of Lawrenceville, GA., Megan Keiper and husband, Aaron and their Daughter – Emilyn of Stone Mountain, GA., Dori Dunst and husband, Michael and their sons Matthew and Braeden all of Cleveland, Ohio, 1 Cousin – Louise Taylor, several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Shepard Tucker whom he married August 2, 1949 in Warren, PA., 1 infant sister, Jane Tucker, 2 Brothers – Richard and John Tucker. Friends may call at First United Methodist Church in Dunham Parlors on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. when a memorial service will be conducted with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Sterling, Pastor, officiating. Followed by a flag presentation will be conducted by members of the U.S. Coast Guard Funeral Personnel. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
