Richard L. Confer, 87, of Warren, PA., died Friday morning, August 26, 2022, at Warren General Hospital, Warren, PA., He was born June 27, 1935, in Warren, PA. Richard was the son of Walter E. and Frances M. Chambers Confer. Richard was a lifelong Warren area resident. He was a 1953, graduate of Warren High School. He had served 8 years in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He was employed with the former National Forge Company in the Mechanical Maintenance Departments, retiring after 35 years employment. Richard was a member of Pleasant Community Church where he was an usher. He was a member of the Warren Eagles Aerie. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and was a Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Pirates enthusiast.

Richard is survived by his daughter – Debbie Groves and husband, Dennis of Clarendon, PA., daughter-in-law, Carolyn Confer of Pittsfield, PA., 1 Brother – Edward L. Confer and wife, Deanne of Sarasota, FL., 4 Grandchildren ,7 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Grandsons, 4 Step Great Great Grandsons 1 Great Great Granddaughter, several nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara R. Read Confer who died December 28, 2015, whom he married November 12, 1954, in Warren, PA., 1 Son, Jeff Confer, 1 Daughter – Lori Brown, 1 Brother – James Confer.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. when a funeral and committal service at 1;00 P.M. with Rev.
