Norman A. Smith, 87, of Warren, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Warren. Born on May 14, 1933 in Warren, PA, he was the son of the late Henry O.K. Smith and Madeline Hartweg Smith.

Norm was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church and had volunteered for soup kitchens for 12 years and worked banquets for 10 years. He was also a statistician for Warren Area High School for 20 years. Norm was a member of the Warren County Ministerial Association for 11 years and had helped with youth programs. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and worked with the Army Corps of Engineers. He also volunteered at Struthers Library Theatre and received the Theatre’s Peacock Award in 2010. He had been involved in the theatre since he was a child and was involved in productions through high school, college, and at the Army base where he served. Norm designed and constructed homes in the Warren area. He was a culinary connoisseur and enjoyed baking and creating meals for family and friends.

Norm is survived by his sister – Noel Murphy of Ridgway, PA, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother – Kenneth Smith, a sister – Karlene Smith Molinaro, and a niece – Mary Murphy.

Friends may call at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Ave. West, Warren, PA, on Saturday, March 13, 2021, from 10am until 11am at which time a Memorial Mass will be held with Fr. Richard C. Tomasone, Pastor, officiating. A Flag Presentation will be made by U. S. Army personnel. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery, Ridgway, PA.
