Mary M. Mundt, age 61, of Warren, PA., died Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2017 at Warren Manor Nursing Home after a courageous battle with cancer with her friends and family at her side. She was born June 25, 1955 in Warren, PA., to the late James M. and Anne Yarzabek Mundt, Sr. Mary was a lifelong Warren area resident and a graduate of Warren Area High School, Class of 1973.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Saint Bonaventure University, Class of 1977. Mary was employed with the Warren County Housing Authority as a Section 8 Coordinator where she was employed since 1977. She was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church. She had served on the board of directors of Faith Inn. Mary was an avid book reader, antiques collector, quilter, and needlepoint craftsman.

She is survived by her brother – James M. Mundt, Jr. and his wife, Susan, her nephew, Benjamin W. Mundt all of Ambler, PA., her aunt, Helen Yarzabek of Youngsville, PA., several cousins also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John J. Mundt.

Friends may call at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell St., Warren, PA., on Thursday, February 16, 2017 one hour prior to a Mass of Christian Burial conducted at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the Ascension in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery with her family.
