Mary Ann Blastic Rogers, 99, of Warren, PA., died on Saturday September 17, 2022, in her home after an extended illness.
She was born on December 16, 1922, in Warren, PA., the daughter of the late Frank J. and Leona C. Adamkavitz Blastic. Mary Ann was a Warren resident and resided most of her life in this area.

She was employed with the former Bell Telephone Company as a switch board supervisor for 35 years, retiring from there in 1979. After retirement, she was employed with National City Bank until the age of 65 and was part time seasonal employee at Blair Corporation in the mailing department, until the age of 75. Mary Ann was a very active member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, where she was a former lector, parish council member, religious education helper, funeral luncheon committee, usher and greeter, bread of life member, and altar rosary member. She had served on the Warren County School District Board of Directors and a monitor at voting booths during primary and general elections. Mary Ann served as a Bell Telephone Union Representative, was a member of the Bell Pioneers where she sewed teddy bears for the people. She was an avid baker and a great cook.

Mary Ann was a woman of strong faith and character. Her family was always the center of her life. She was a survivor, no matter what life sent her way.

She is survived by her son, Raymond F. Rogers, and her granddaughter Michelle Geer-Kostkas and husband, Michael, all of Warren, PA., and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Rogers Geer, two sisters Eleanor Salamon and Janet M. Carlson and two brother-in-law’s, John Salamon and Bill Carlson.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St. Warren, PA on Tuesday September 20, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2022, at 10:00 am in Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell St. Warren with Fr. Stephen Schreiber, Pastor, officiating.
