The impact Mrs. Clinton had on me was enormous! I had her for Spanish at YHS, never thinking I would actually use those language skills. Lo and behold! I married a woman from Venezuela, and we are raising our three daughters in a bilingual home. I speak Spanish every single day. Plus I am an English professor! The Clintons surely left their mark.
She will be missed! YHS was lucky to have her!
I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Clinton’s passing. She was my teacher at YHS for 4 years of Spanish. She made it so much fun and I loved it. She was a great teacher! I majored in Spanish in college and linguistics for my masters. I taught Spanish and English as a second language. I attribute much of my love of languages to her classes. My sympathies and prayers for all her family
Dear Mr. Clinton and Family-
I am so sorry to hear of Mary Ann’s passing. She was a true light in the school district, and I look back on her classes with fond memories. She was a special lady with a beautiful, energetic spirit.
I will be praying for you during this difficult time.
Blessings,
Denise (Patterson) Engelbert
My heart goes out to Mr. Clinton and the entire Clinton family. I had the pleasure of having both Mr. and Mrs. as my English and Spanish teachers at YHS. My biggest memory of Mrs. Clinton was when she told us she saw a “sale” sign at the Dairy Queen. She was so used to using Spanish, she told the class she was wondering where he was going. Something I won’t ever forget.
I am truly saddened learning about her passing; she was an awesome teacher.
Again, my condolences go out to her family.
