John S. German, 72, of Sheffield, PA, died Monday evening, May 23, 2016 at Warren Manor, Warren, PA. Born on March 10, 1944, John was the son of the late Alex and Margaret Dorrion German. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua R. C. Church in Sheffield. John loved motorcycling, flying, amateur photography, and was an avid gun collector. He had owned and operated JSG Sporting Goods in Sheffield.

John is survived by his wife, Debra Thornton German, whom he married on March 29, 1996, 5 children – Marc Grandinetti of Kane, PA, Stacey Bailey and her husband, Kevin, of Bethlehem, PA, Jennifer Ament and her husband, Howard, of Natrona Heights, PA, Jesse Grandinetti and his wife, Jessica, of Buckley, WA, and Krystal Mergner and her husband, Dan, of Reading, PA, 8 grandchildren – Jillian Ament, Jackson Ament, Jacob Mergner, Jocelyn Grandinetti, Aliena Bailey, Olivia Mergner, Alexa Bailey and Maya Grandinetti, 1 sister – Jo Mary Kervin and her husband, Kim, of Tallahassee, FL, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Dorrion.

There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at a later date and will be announced by the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA.
