Janet Slack Elmquist, 85, of Sheffield, PA., died peacefully Thursday afternoon, June 11, 2020 at the Rouse Home, Youngsville, PA. Janet was born September 22, 1934 in Kane, PA. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Thelma Slack. Janet was a lifelong Sheffield resident and a 1952 graduate of Sheffield High School. She was employed as a payroll clerk at the PGE Company for 20+ years. Janet was an avid shopper and her family was the most treasured in her life.

Janet is survived by 5 sons, Jim Elmquist of Cherry Grove, PA., John Elmquist and his partner, Denise Hall of Warren, PA., Walter Elmquist and wife, Linda of Sheffield, PA., Scott Elmquist and wife, Dana of Richmond, VA., and Patrick Elmquist and wife, Amy of Ludlow, PA.,

6 Grandchildren – Ty, Geddy, Dana, Walter, Sheay Elmquist, Janelle Johnson, 2 Great Grandchildren – Maya and Isaac and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Elmquist and brother, Elmer “Corky” Slack, Jr.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, Pa. on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 6. To 8 P.M., where a funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, Pastor of First Lutheran Church, Officiating. Interment will be in Sheffield Cemetery, Sheffield, PA.
