Jacquelyn “Jackie”Joan Smith Cunningham, of North Warren, PA., died Friday morning, February 28, 2020 at the Rouse Home, Youngsville, PA., just shy of her 90th birthday. Jackie was born March 9, 1930 in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of Richard and Edna Nelson Smith. Jackie was a graduate of Warren High School Class of 1947. She was married on October 21, 1950 in Warren, PA., to Robert E. Cunningham, for 61 ½ years, together they raised 4 children, Robert, Dennis, Brian and Colleen. The family moved around a lot due to Bob’s service as a pilot in the USAF. Jackie had many adventures during this period of time. Jackie volunteered extensively when the family settled back in Warren. Jackie was a member of Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Warren Moose Lodge 109, Russell Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

and St. Joseph R.C. Church, where she volunteered at the church Soup Kitchen, as well as serving as a greeter and was the card chairperson for the church homebound parishioners. She also volunteered at the Warren Senior Center. She was very active in the Warren Republican Party where she had served as secretary.

She is survived by her 2 Sons – Dennis Cunningham and wife, Gloria of Thomaston, ME., Brian Cunningham and wife, Joyce of Horseheads, N.Y., her Sister and best friend – Joyce Brecht of N. Warren, PA., 5 Grandchildren – Hilary Chaloux, Carolyn, Timothy (Jamie), Jaime Burgess and Justin Pfaff, 6 Great Grandchildren – Madison Dodge, Sean, Hailey, Melody, Taylor and Riley Cunningham, special nieces who helped Jackie,are Carla Steinhouser and Jodi Brecht, in addition to several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on January 30, 2012 by her husband, Robert E. Cunningham, a daughter, Coleen Ann Cunningham on January 27, 2012, a son, Robert Michael Cunningham, a Sister, Ann Brecht, a Brother – Richard Smith, 2 Grandsons – Brandon and Sean Cunningham.

Friends may call on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Richard Tomasone, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA.
