Irene E. Solock

Irene E. Solock, 96, of Sheffield, PA., died Monday evening, June 27, 2022, at Rouse Home, Youngsville, PA. Irene was born February 15, 1926, in Sheffield, PA. She was the daughter of John and Barbara Andre Solock. She was a lifelong Sheffield, PA., resident and a 1943 graduate of Sheffield High School. Irene was employed with the former O’Connor Machine Shop and was a supervisor at DPW Board of Assistance, retiring in 1988. She was an active member with St. Michael’s Byzantine Church and several community organizations in Sheffield, PA. She is lovingly remembered as a woman who always put her family and her church to the center of her life.

Irene is survived by 4 Nephews, 1 Niece, including Gerald and Charlene Corbran of Inverness, FL, many great nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 Brothers, Joseph, John, Mike, Andy, and George Solock, 3 Sisters, Mary Corbran, Susan, and Ann Solock.

Family and friends will be received at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 6 to 8 P.M. where a Parastas service will be sung at 6:30 P.M. A Devine Funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 1:30 P.M., at St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church with the Very Rev. David A. Bosnich, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Sheffield, PA.
