Imogene F. Weidert, 83, of Houston TX and formerly of Warren, PA, died Thursday, August 20, 2015 in Houston, TX.

Born on February 1, 1932 in Marble, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Gertrude M. Fasenmyer Ditz. On June 6, 1953 in St. Michael’s Church in Fryburg, PA, she married William J. Weidert who survives.

Imogene graduated high school from Shippenville High School, Class of 1950 where she was class valedictorian. In 1952 she graduated from the Warren Business School. She was a member of St. Joseph R. C. Church where she was involved with the New Mothers Ministry, Altar Rosary Society, Banquet Committee and Nursing Home Ministry. Imogene enjoyed reading, baking and her flower gardens, especially her roses.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Dan Weidert and his wife, Julie, of Houston, TX and Terri Weber and her husband, Lee, of Harrisburg, PA, grandchildren, Greg, Eric, Sam, Ross, Leah and Zach Weidert, Amy Weidert Decker and Todd and Scott Weber, two brothers, Gerald Ditz and Merle Ditz, both of Houston, TX, and one sister, Janice Ditz of Houston, TX. In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by a son, Randy Weidert.

Friends may call at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA from 9am – 10am Saturday, September 19, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00AM with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
