May your strength in God and family help you thru this difficult time. I have such fond memories of being at your house, and yes Jerry was always tinkering in the yard. He was always smiling. I’m thankful for having such fond memories of being at the Berardi home.
Sincerely

Betts-Jackson Field, the airport, what used to be Struthers … the fading remnants of post-World War II West End Warren, and everywhere I look, there is Jerry. Not out front, like Nick and Pittsy, but still there, always smiling, waving, asking after my health, chuckling at some resurrected memory of the 1940s and 1950s. Talking sports, of course. Talking family: How’s your mother? I remember your dad. Well, Jerry, I remember you with your smile, and I smile at the memory. Rest in peace, my friend.
To the entire Berardi family: Please accept my sincere condolences on your recent loss. Jerry was one of the nicest West End neighbors. He always had a smile on his face and we always had a great time on our Notre Dame trips. You will surely be missed Jerry. Rest in Peace, my friend.

There are no words (or not enough words) to express how saddened I was to learn of Jerry’s passing. As “across the yard” neighbors with the Berardis throughout my years growing up and living in Warren’s West side, I considered you all my “second family.” Jerry was such a kind and peaceful person, a gentle soul and spirit with always a smile and a kind word. To Nancy, Jerry Jr., Cathy and John, I send my love and deepest sympathies during this time. Wishing you all peace and comfort in the sharing of memories with family and friends who share in your loss and the knowledge that Jerry now rests with the Lord in Heaven. Though we mourn his passing from this earthly plane, I know the angels are rejoicing, for Jerry is in their number now. Hugs and much love to you all. Barbie and Barry
