Gerald C. Hammerbeck, 67, of Warren PA, died unexpectedly at his home Thursday evening, July 22, 2021. Born October 14th, 1953, in Warren to the late Jack and Peggy J. Hammerbeck, he was a lifelong resident of Warren. Following his 1971 graduation from Warren High School, he served in the U.S. Navy as Petty Officer Second Class. Garry had been employed as a press operator with Betts Industries retiring after 33 years.

He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid trout fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, playing chess, and was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He is remembered as a man with a great sense of humor who always helped others.

He is survived by his three children – Shelly L. Roberts and her husband Ray of Burgettstown, PA, Donna M. Palumbo and her husband Chris of Sanford, NC, Troy W. Hammerbeck of Evans City, PA. Also; 6 Grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Three sisters – Jackie Johnson of Warren, Christy Lee Vettenberg of Jeanette, PA, Lori A. Corey and her husband, Bill of Warren.

Gerald is preceded in death by his first wife Beth A. Marquis, his father Jack G. Hammerbeck, his mother Peggy J. Hammerbeck, and a brother – William Hammerbeck.

The family will have a small service for family and close friends at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. 304 East St., Warren, PA, with Rev. William R.
