Eileen Theresa Waldeck, of Clarendon, PA., passed away peacefully Sunday, August 9, 2020, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with dermatomyositis and cancer. Eileen was born July 18, 1947, she was the youngest child of Carroll E. and Anna Crowley Waldeck.

Eileen was a graduate of Warren Area High School Class of 1965 and a June 1969 graduate of Penn State with a Bachelors’ Degree in Mathematics and in March of 1979, earned her Masters’ Degree in Mathematics. Eileen was employed with the Warren County School District for many years, teaching mathematics, most of her teaching career was at Beaty Junior High School, retiring in 2007. She always enjoyed following her students whom she taught, and especially enjoyed meeting her former students and hearing about their success in their chosen professions. Eileen enjoyed taking advantage of traveling. She loved decorating the cabin for holidays, both inside and out. In the summer she loved tending to the flowers. Over the years another love was her dogs. One of her greatest joys were following all of her nieces, nephews and their children, throughout the years and watching them take advantage of all they were given. For those nieces and nephews, nothing was more fun than to be the first to say, “I see the cabin” as they came over the hill, around the curve and saw the cabin on Chapman Dam Road which their grandfather and for some great grandfather built. The family thanks Eileen for setting an example of what hard work can achieve.

Eileen is survived by her 3 Sisters – Mary Dougherty of Surfside Beach, S.C., Anne Clare and Carol Waldeck both at home, 2 Brothers – Thomas Waldeck and wife, Joan of Bellevue, WA., James Waldeck at home, Brother-in-law, Andrew Kosinski of Winter Springs, FL., 16 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews, 1 great grand-nephew and her puppy sunshine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Waldeck, sister, Margaret “Peggy” Kosinski, brother-in-law, James Daugherty.

The family would like to thank Cleveland Clinic, especially Warren General Hospital Critical Care Unit & Dr. John Sutton for making Eileen’s final hospitalization as comfortable as possible.
