Dorothy M. Doyle, 91, a resident of the Rouse Warren County Home died Wednesday morning, July 3, 2013 at 10:55 A.M. after a brief illness. She was born at home in Sheffield, PA. on December 11, 1921 to the late Gilbert E. and Mabel Irene Jones Hanson. She was a lifelong Sheffield area resident. Dorothy was a longtime salesclerk with the former Culbertson 10 cent store and Brewsters Variety Store retiring from there. She was known as the “Candy Lady” Dorothy was of the Lutheran faith. She was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother, who was always a caregiver. Her family was the center of her life. She is survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 of whom she helped raise, Deborah Labesky and husband, Matthew of Warren, PA., Dorothy Nyberg and husband, Kevin of Leesburg, VA., Dr. James Doyle of Warren, PA., Barbara Williger of Hermon, Maine, John Doyle and wife, Lesa of Eddington, Maine, 1 Cousin – Richard “Squeek” Hanson of Sheffield, PA., 11 Great Grandchildren – Alannah, Alicia, Alexa and Mitchell Labesky, Jamie, Hayden and Trevor Nyberg, Jacqueline and Katherine Doyle, Samuel and Thomas Williger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 Sons – Jack and James Doyle. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. A funeral and committal service will be conducted Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. David Blank, Pastor of the First Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
