Dora Rae Hottel Berardi, 80, of Warren, PA., died suddenly, Wednesday, November 30, 2023. She was born at home in North Warren, PA., on February 9, 1943. She was the daughter of Garrett Sager and Laura Ina Blandin Hottel, Sr. Dora was a lifelong N. Warren and Warren area resident. She was a 1961 graduate of Warren High School. Dora was employed with the Warren State Hospital Dietary Department and retired in May of 2007 from Blair Corporation, after 15 years-service. Dora loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Dora is survived by her 3 daughters, Sandra Lynn Berardi of Erie, PA., Sharon Marie Loomis Zavinski and her husband, Jim of Warren, PA., Susan Ann Varallo of Blackwood, N.J., 6 Grandchildren – Megan Elizabeth Loomis, Trey R. Loomis, Jennifer Lynn Pierlott, Francis G. Varallo, Jr., Ann Marie Varallo, Christian James Zavinski, 1 Great Grandddaughter – Colleen Loomis, 2 Sisters – Frances Anderson of Warren, PA., Lois Cole of Meadville, PA., several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her wonderful husband and father of her children, John R. Berardi, who died. December 7, 1977, 1 Sister – Elizabeth Streich, 1 Brother – Garrett Hottel, Jr.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. A funeral and committal service will follow visitation hours at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Buddy Ward, Pastor
of North Warren Presbyterian Church, officiating.
