Donald W. Rose, 88, of Warren, Pa died Monday, November 11, 2013 at Warren Manor. Born on May 5, 1925 in Colver, PA, Cambria County, PA he was the son of the late George L. and Mary Dingus Rose. Donald graduated from Cambria County High School in Ebensburg, PA. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U. S. Army and was a member of the American Legion in Warren, Struthers Hose Club and the Moose Club in Ebensburg, PA. He was a pipefitter for Local Pipefitters #47 and worked on the Kinzua Dam and most refineries in Pennsylvania. Donald is survived by two sons, Edwin (Linda) Rose of Irvine, Pa and Phillip Rose of Starbrick, PA, one daughter, Eileen (Randy) Edwards of Warren, PA, nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Helen R. Pileski, whom he married on January 29, 1949. She died on April 27, 2005. Donald is also preceded in death by two sisters, Althea Crawford and Hazel Wissinger and one brother, Clyde Rose. Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M.
