Dolores J. Nuhfer Anthony, 87, of Warren, PA. died Sunday

morning, September 14, 2014 at the home of her daughters in

Youngsville, PA. after an extended illness. She was born

November 28, 1926 in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of the

late William J. and Katherine Mansfield Nuhfer, Sr.

She was a longtime resident of Warren, PA. and a 1944 graduate

of Warren High School. She earned her nursing degree from

Spencer Hospital School of Nursing, Meadville, PA.

She was employed with Warren General Hospital as a Registered

Nurse for 20 years, working in the Maternity Ward, leaving in

1968. She was then employed with the former National Forge

Company as their shop nurse for 20 years. She was a member of

St. Luke’s R.C. Church, Youngsville, PA. and a former member of

St. Joseph R.C. Church, Warren, PA. where she served on the

Altar Rosary Society and former Catholic Daughters of America.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed dancing, and especially

loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her 4 children – Molly Kratz and husband,

Douglas of Warren, PA. , Becky Britton of Youngsville, PA., Jeff

Anthony and wife, Mitzi and Terry Anthony and wife, Sharon all

of Warren, PA., 7 siblings – William Nuhfer and wife, Doris,

Philip Nuhfer and wife, Marion all of Warren, PA., Theresa

Sanden and husband, Eugene of Youngsville, PA., Tom Nuhfer

and wife, Sandy of Tiona, PA., Martha Lafferty and husband, Joe

of Lakewood, CA., Larry Nuhfer of Irvine, PA., Michael Nuhfer

and wife, Beatrice of Warren, PA., 1 Sister-in-law, Jane Nuhfer of

Irvine, PA., 9 Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren, several

nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her

husband, Harold E. (Pete) Anthony whom she married October

16, 1948 in Warren, PA. who died July 7, 1990, 1 Brother – Richard

Nuhfer.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304

East Street, Warren, PA. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 6

to 8 P.M. A vigil service will be conducted there at 7:30 P.M.

Additional visitation will be on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at

St. Luke ‘s R.C. Church Gathering Space from 10:00 A.M. until

11:00 A.M. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by

Fr. John Neff, Pastor. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of

the Resurrection in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Those wishing to
