Deborah A. Nuhfer Dorrion, 68, of Warren, Pa., died Wednesday evening, July 14, 2021, at AHN St. Vincent Healthcare, Erie, PA after an illness of the past 3 years. She was born February 25, 1953, in Warren, PA. Debbie was the daughter of Phillip J. Nuhfer of Warren, PA. and the late Marian L. Hook Nuhfer. She was a lifelong Warren area resident and a 1971 graduate of Warren Area High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Jamestown Community College and was employed as a Psychiatric Nurse at the Warren State Hospital for 27 years, retiring on May 17, 2013.

Debbie was a communicant of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, where she served as a lector, CCD teacher and was in charge of the Birthday Card Ministry for Seniors. She enjoyed bowling, especially with her Tuesday Night Mixed League at Riverside Lanes, traveling, camping and going to the beach. She helped her husband with birdwatching.

In addition to her father, Debbie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas W. Dorrion whom she married July 7, 1973, at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, Warren, PA., 2 Children – Cheryl “Cheri” Benford and husband, Kim of Asheboro, N.C., William J. “Bill” Dorrion and wife, Amy of Warren, PA., 2 Grandchildren – Jalen Benford, Elaina Dorrion, 3 Brothers – James A. Nuhfer and wife, Carol of Mechanicsburg, PA., Phillip A. Nuhfer and wife, Lucinda of Warren, PA., Kenneth A. Nuhfer and wife, Rose of Clarendon, PA., Mother-in-law, Sally Poulson Dorrion of Clarendon, PA., Sister-in-law, Terri L. Allison of Warren, PA., Brother-in-law, Scott W. Dorrion of Williamsburg, VA., several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas Dorrion, Sr., daughter-in-law, Denise Dorrion, brother-in-laws, Timothy D. Dorrion and Thomas Allison.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA. with Fr. Stephen Schreiber, Pastor, officiating.
