Constance ” “Connie” Mae Mazzuca Brown, 89, of Rockledge, FL, formerly of Youngsville, PA, went to her heavenly home on Saturday,  October 31, 2020 surrounded by her children. Connie was born on June 7, 1931 in Warren, PA, the daughter of Michael Angelo and Rose Isabel Scalise Mazzuca. She was a 1949 graduate of Warren High School and a graduate of St. Vincent’s School of Nursing, working as an RN at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, PA and a pediatric RN at the University Hospital of Cleveland,  Ohio. Connie was a former member of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Warren, PA and St. Luke’s RC Church in Youngsville, PA.

Connie was a creatively gifted seamstress, sewing handmade clothing and beautiful heirloom quilts for her children and grandchildren and passing on her love for crafts,  Scrabble, baking and holiday traditions to her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend and a faithful servant of the Lord.

Connie will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and warm and nurturing spirit. She was “mom” and “grandma” to many and was known to make blankets and quilts for the homeless as well as burial quilts for babies who passed. Connie was an avid college basketball fan and Pittsburgh Penguins NHL fan.

Connie is survived by her children Cheryl Burnett and husband Ron of Rockledge, FL, Denise Patterson and husband Tom of San Antonio, TX,  Ellen Brown of Rockledge, FL, Mary Seybert and husband Todd of Youngsville, PA and David Brown of Merritt Island, FL, a sister Mary Lou Gnage of Warren, PA, 9 grandchildren: Aimee, Allen, John, Danielle, Julio, Joshua, Shannon, Christopher and Patrick, 7 great -grandchildren: Deandra, Brayden, Dominick, Mason, Kassidy, Makiah and Elijah, 2 great-great grandchildren: Marianne and Autumn, 1 Goddaughter Sue Anne, and many nieces,  nephews,  cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents,  she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years,  William E. Brown who passed away on December 23, 2006 and her cherished son Michael A. Brown, who passed away on October 5, 2016.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St., Warren PA from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm. CDC guidelines of face masks and six foot social distancing will be observed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s RC Church at 600 Pennsylvania Ave. West in Warren, PA with Fr. Richard Tomasone, Pastor, officiating.

Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Resurrection of St. Joseph’s RC Cemetery.
