Audrey Fox, 92, of Russell, PA. died Monday morning, August 27, 2012 at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness. She was born August 17, 1920 in Russell, PA. to the late Wallace J. and Freda Mattson Barstow. She was a lifelong resident of Russell and a 1938 graduate of Russell High School. Audrey was employed for 20 years as a clerk with the former New Process Company retiring from there in 1985. She was a member of Russell United Methodist Church, where she was a choir member and a member of the Thursday Women’s Circle. She was a former member of the former Rebekah Lodge and a member of the Russell Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, watching football and Nascar Races.

She is survived by her granddaughter – Shelly Sapp and husband, Scott, 2 Great Grandchildren – Morgan and Kyle Sapp all of Bronson, FL., 1 Sister – Bernice Cockshott of Jamestown, N.Y. , Sister-in-law, Dorothy Barstow of Upstate, N.Y., several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son – Marshall Fox, 1 Sister – Alma Laughlin, 1 Brother – Harley Barstow. A private funeral and committal service will be conducted graveside at Pine Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family with Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of Warren General Hospital, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA. Memorial contributions may be made through the Russell Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Service or the Russell United Methodist Church.
