Anne Cashman, formerly of Warren, PA, died Monday, August 25, 2014 at Forestview Nursing Home, Erie, PA after a long illness. She was born in Warren on March 2, 1940 to the late Dr. William and Ella Harrington Cashman. Ann was a Warren area resident most of her life until moving to Springhill Retirement Community, Erie, PA in 1994.
She is survived by her 4 siblings – John Cashman of Wilmington, NC and Michael Cashman of Bedford, MA., Mary Dahl of Warren, PA., Jane C. McComas of Salt Lake City, UT., 1 Uncle – Dr. John Harrington of Warren, PA., 1 Aunt – Anne H. Gay, (formerly of Warren) of Warrenton, VA., several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Matthew H. Dahl and cousin, Patrick Gay.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA., with Fr. James Gutting, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
Family invites friends to a luncheon at Noon at the Conewango Club. The Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
I was in 1st and 2nd grade at East Street school with Anne. Even though I seldom saw her after that, I have always remembered and thought about her. She was, indeed, a very special person.
