Alice Burdick Tomassoni, of Warren, PA., 5 days shy of her 96th birthday, died Tuesday evening, May 10, 2022, at Warren General Hospital, Warren, PA., after a brief illness.  She was born May 15, 1926, in Torpedo, PA., and resided most of her entire life in Warren, PA.  She had wintered in LaBelle, Florida for about 20 years.  She along with her husband, were owner and operator of the Tomassoni and Son Nursery for 50 years, retiring in 1989.  She was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church and a former member of St. Joseph R.C. Church.   Alice was a member of the Sons of Italy and had served as a director of the Warren County Sports Hall of Fame.  She was an avid pool player and wanted to play pool on her 100th birthday, she enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, making crafts, and owned her own ceramic shop. She also enjoyed searching the internet.

Alice is survived by her 4 Children – Thomas Tomassoni and his companion, Esther Hilliard, Daniel Tomassoni and wife, Nancy, Donna Tomassoni, Toni Marie Barnes all of Warren, PA., 4 Grandchildren – Joe Tomassoni, Rodney Tomassoni, Aaron Brew and Brandi Tomassoni, 10 Great Grandchildren – Lydia, Sara, Maddie, Kalli, Gracie, Mya, Anthony, Ellie, Gianna and Jake Tomassoni, 1 Great Great Granddaughter – Adalyn Chase, granddaughter-in-law, Jill Tomassoni, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Anthony “Tony” Tomassoni whom she married May 31, 1945, who died August 21, 2021, her sister, Dorothy M. Thomas, 2 Grandsons – Tommy Tomassoni, Jr., and Michael Tomassoni, 1 Granddaughter – Ann Marie Tomassoni, 1 Great Granddaughter – Katherine Tomassoni, Son-in-law, Russell Barnes.

Friends may call at the Holy Redeemer R.C. Church gathering space, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA., on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 3 to 5 P.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 5:00 P.M with Fr. Stephen Schreiber, Pastor, officiating.
