Adaline B. Potter, 93, of Warren, PA died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Warren Manor in Warren, PA. Born on January 20, 1920 in Erie, PA she was the daughter of the late William and Hulda Elizabeth Carlson Hoffman. Adaline was a lifelong resident of Warren. She was very active with the Warren Senior Center where she would play the piano. She loved to play cards, Scrabble and doing crossword puzzles. Adaline is survived by three daughters, Marla (William) Verbosky of Sheffield, PA, Tenna (Ron) Smith of Clarendon, PA and Bernita (Tony) Welker of East Rochester, OH, one son, Terry McKinney of Coconut Creek, FL, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Adaline was preceded in death by a son, Duane Bruce “Duke” Gheres, two sisters, Gladys Muscaro and Geraldine Furness, and one brother, Gerald Hoffman. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, Pa with the Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Warren General Hospital, officiating. In lieu of flowers those wishing to place memorials may do so through a charity of one’s choice.
