To Cindi, Jim, Julie and family. It is with deep sorrow that I feel for the passing of such a great man, Husband,Father,Friend-Jan Agnew! I’ll never forget the fun times we had on a trip to see the Pirates years ago. Jan helped me in so many ways when I coached Jim’s baseball team. He was pleasant in offering his help to me as I wanted the best for my team. He will be sadly missed by so many people. We always chuckled together cause we shared the same first name. RIP JAN! God Bless!
Jan was one of my first employers. I worked at Hidden Valley for a number of years. It is safe to say that while working there he,Cindi, and Julie became extended family members. Jan was a firm, but fair boss. I was 16 years old at the time I started working at the campground as a lifeguard. That was just one of my many duties. I have to say that when I worked there I love going to work. Each day was an adventure and I always felt welcomed and appreciated. It was a fun place to work. That job, which I thank both Jan and Cindi for giving me the opportunity, was the building block of a life long career I’ve had helping children, teenagers specifically. I think about that place from time to time, and about Jan. Jan you were a good man. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for seeing in me, something, at the time that I didn’t see in myself. Please know that I’ve carried that special experience with me all these years, 29 to be exact. Rest in peace. To Cindi, Julie and the entire family, I am sorry for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather…He was a big presence and that is hard to lose, but he will live on in your hearts and memories. Love you all. Thinking of you.
We were both so sorry to hear about Jan. I grew up a few houses away on Highland Avenue. We enjoyed visiting with him at Hidden Valley and wherever our paths crossed. Recently he met our granddaughter and daughter in law. You will be missed. Our sympathy to all his family.
Dennis worked with Jan at the Hidden Valley Camping Area helping out whenever and where ever Jan needed him. We enjoyed camping at Hidden Valley for 27 years. We loved both Jan and Cindi. Our prayers are sent to the family. God bless you all. Love ya, Denny and Annie
My sincere sympathy to you all in your loss…I really never knew him, but I can see he was well thought of and loved by so many.

Jim, Paula, Amy, Cherie, Mark Dorrion and families
May peace and comfort be with the Agnew family during this loss. Jan was a great guy, I will always cherish the times we spent laughing and chatting around the fire at Dar and Dave’s place, memories that I will hold near to my heart. All the love and blessings to your family.
Jan was someone that was always willing to help others. I worked with him at Prudential and he was a kind person that could really make me laugh. I just don’t know what I will do with my slightly burnt cookies now. My sympathy to you, Cindi, Jim and Julie. and to the Yorkie that barked at me when I stopped to visit.
We always enjoyed seeing Jan and Cindi at the auction. Cinnamon rolls were both our weakness and had bid against each other without knowing. His smile and humor will be missed. Cindy & Rich Rockey

Cindi, Jim, Julie and family, I was so sad when I heard that Jan had passed. I have such fond memories of Jan on Bauer Street. He would join in our games from time to time and was so enthusiastic! He would host gatherings on the back patio and make everyone laugh. We also had fun times visiting Hidden Valley campground. My sympathies to your family. I know how much he will be missed.
We are so sorry for your loss
I was so sad to learn that Jan had passed away. I was a fellow classmate and graduate of Class of ’59 from Youngsville. Jan lived on Highland Avenue and I lived on Mill Street. I always looked forward to seeing Jan at Class Reunions and saw him on 40th and 50th reunions. He will be sorely missed. I am sorry for your loss and condolences to the family. I now live in Vallejo, CA.
