Bill Daley passed away peacefully at the age of 85, at his home on January 7th, 2025.
He was born on June 3rd, 1939, in Warren, Pennsylvania to the parents, John Michael and Mary Anita (Hultquist) Daley. He was a lifelong resident of Warren but for two years in Erie.
A member of Warren Area High School’s Class of 1957, “Killer” was an athlete known for his sense of humor and writing skills. In his youth, he was a soloist in the Warren Boy Choir.
His family owned and operated the Warren Supermarket, 48 Pennsylvania Ave East, and across the street, Daley’s Diner.
He started his college years at Penn State, transferring to Saint Bonaventure to finish a degree in Journalism.
In 1962 he married S. Jeanne Powley and entered into his cherished role of family man. Working both at the family businesses and The Warren Times Observer, they were blessed with three children, Dianne, Brendan, and Shannon.
Work opportunities took Bill to a position in an advertising firm in Erie, moving his family there in 1967. His father’s death in 1970 brought the Daley family back to Warren to run the Supermarket and Diner. In 1977, Bill began employment at The New Process Company as an Advertising Copywriter until his retirement.
With his acquired real estate license, he joined his wife, Jeanne Daley in opening the Howard Hanna Daley Real Estate, Inc. in June 2000. They owned and enjoyed their local business until it’s sale in December, 2021.
Papper’s happiest times were spent in the kitchen making many things from scratch. He was also a talented photographer.
He is survived by two of his children; Dianne Daley Hoffmann, husband Ralph and their four children Logan, Connor, Shannon, and Brendan; Brendan W. Daley, wife Maria (Troyan) and their four children Jack, Allison, Abigail, and Brendan; one granddaughter Elley (Trubic) Marshall and husband Joshua; one great grandchild, Brooks; many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years, S. Jeanne Daley, a daughter Shannon J. Daley Trubic, and his brother Dr. Dennis Daley.

Had a passion for cooking, baking, and photography.
Dianne, Brendan, and families,
Prayers ascend for your father and you. I have fond memories of your parents at parties and gatherings.
May your dad rest in peace and rise in glory.
Bill was a great man and I’m glad I had the chance to coach his son Brendan. On the best team Beaty ever had ,we beat Meadville twice on our way to an undefeated Section Championship. Meadville had Randy Ficthner (?on sp) on their team and Brendan guarded him well. When we played at Meadville I ask Bill to stand over their book keeper cause Meadville had a way of adding fouls to players that never happened. Well we beat them there and the kids celebrated at Oil City-cause Meadville we heard was waiting for us at McDonalds. Thank you Bill and may you rest in peace. You were a great backer of our team along with your wife. God Bless Bill’s entire family. Much Love.
