William E. “Bill” Lawhead, 81, of Warren, Pa. died Wednesday morning at UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa. Born, February 25, 1931 in Warren to the late Clair and Iva Barber Lawhead, he was a 1948 graduate of Warren High School. Bill owned and operated Seneca Lumber since the 70s and Lawhead Construction for over 50 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warren Elks Lodge and enjoyed hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his daughter – Donna Anderson and her husband, Skip of Warren; a granddaughter – Kim Tridico of Youngsville, Pa.; a step granddaughter – Erika Wright and her husband, Jude of Tampa, Fl.; a great grandson – James Tridico of Youngsville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife – Rosamond D. Lawhead, whom he married September 16, 1950 in First United Methodist Church, and died November 22, 2007; a sister – Mary Louise Rowan.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, April 23, 2012 in the First United Methodist Church, 200 Market St., Warren 16365, with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Sterling, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Warren County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to Paws Along the River, 212 Elm St, Warren 16365 or the First United Methodist Church. Bill and I were classmates, and I am pleased to hear that he had a full and happy life, he was always jovial. Just to make sure that everyone knows, he also was a fair violin plaver.

So sorry for your loss. Donna, although I hadn’t seen your Dad in many years, I remember him as a “larger than life” personality, someone who could fill up a room when he walked in. I’m certain he’ll be so missed but I hope you’re able to take comfort in his long life.
