Virginia Ann Swoger entered eternal life on October 2, 2022, in Dallas, Texas after a brief illness.
She was a resident of Warren, PA for nearly 50 Years. She was born in Oil City, PA on November 8, 1936, to the late Stanley and Stella Soborowski. Virginia attended Assumption Polish Grade School and was a graduate of Oil City High School.
On April 18, 1959, she married Peter Swoger who preceded her in death in 2019. Virginia was a homemaker for many years, living both in Erie and Warren. She was employed at Blair Corporation in Warren until 1989. She was active at Holy Redeemer Parish as a leader in the CSA and a Eucharistic Minister.
Virginia is survived by her two loving sons Fr. Mark (Miriam) Swoger of Washington, PA, and Christopher (Cindi) Swoger of Plano, TX; four grandchildren Matthew (Holly) Swoger, Nicholas (Rachel) Swoger, Ashley Swoger and Kristen Swoger; one great grandchild Victoria all of Plano, TX; three step grandchildren Jonathan Errigo of Houtzdale, PA, Matthew ( Sherry) Errigo of Venetia, PA, and Stephanie (James) Tarbay of Clearfield, PA; two step great grandchildren Logan and Dominic Errigo of Venetia, PA; three sisters Linda (Oakley) Hazlett of Oil City, Cecelia Motter of Titusville, and Patti (Robert) Fiely of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 11 Russell St., Warren, PA on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at which time a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held with the Rev. Stephen Schreiber, Pastor, and her brother-in-law the Rev. John Swoger, co-officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Erie, PA.
