As families diverge from the tight-knit groups of immigrants and immediate descendants, we inevitably see less of each other than did previous generations. Mostly, I knew Tom, a cousin, through a perpetual smile and mutual “Hi! How ya doin’?” chance encounters. I always came away feeling good that our paths had crossed. That talent for making people feel better was a hallmark of knowing Tom. I extend my sincere sympathy to his family and friends.
I am truly sorry for your loss. Tom was a gentle soul with a contagious smile. He will be missed by all.
Tommy was one of my best basketball players. He always called me Coach. Tommy bragged about being on the best Beaty team that ever existed. Boy, did we have fun . We reminisced the many stories of that season. He told me that I was the best Coach he ever had. Always had a smile for me. Tommy was always watching the BROWNS with great enthusiasm . He we be sadly missed by his family, his classmates, his teammates and everyone who knew him. Tommy, my friend, you are now on the greatest basketball court in Heaven. God Bless you Tommy.
A pleasant demeanor and genuine smile always greeted me at Keystone when Tom pumped my gas. I am sorry for your loss at such a young age.
Tom was such a nice guy. Always had a smile and was truly a good guy! My deepest sympathies to all the family & his many friends.
Our deepest sympathy to the family.
Tommy, I am blessed to call you my brother. I will take care of Dad for you. My heart hurts and will miss you every day. Take care of Heather, and please watch over me & Jensen. Family always – love your little sis.
My memories of Tommy are all as a loving friend and protective big brother, since grade school and beyond. I will cherish a recent encounter with him over this past summer where we talked about the things that matter in life, and for Tommy it was all about his family, friends and a positive outlook. He was a true and loyal friend, and my deepest sympathies go out to his mom, dad, brother Joe and extended family. May God comfort us all as we keep Tommy’s sweet memory eternal.
I am so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I will always remember his smile and his sense of humor. My deepest condolences to his family.
Sorry for your lose.
I played basketball with Tommy at the YMCA, behind the old McClintock school and at old Community Center in North Warren in the late 70’s and into the 80’s. Since I came back to Warren, I would run into him on a rare occasions. Tommy always saw things as partly sunny and never partly cloudy. He was a kind soul in every way.
Pat, Joe, Karen, Little Joe – I am so shocked and saddened to learn of Tom’s death.
I always thought of Tom as a friend – he was fun; he had a big heart; he had a great sense of humor.
This world is a strange place.
My condolences to you.
Tommy,
