Thomas R. Allison, Sr., 70, of Warren, PA. died Tuesday morning, July 1, 2014 at his residence of natural causes. He was born September 18, 1943 in Dubois, PA.
Tom was a 1961 graduate Dubois High School. He had served with the United States Army during Vietnam War. He has resided in Warren since 1970 and was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford campus and St. Bonaventure University, Allegany, N.Y. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Education Administration.
He was employed with Sears, Roebuck and Company as a catalog store manager in Warren from 1970 until 1986. He was assistant principal at Warren Area High School and Principal of Youngsville High School, retiring from the Warren County School District. Tom enjoyed his retirement working on his antique and classic cars, gardening, attending car shows and love animals. He was a member of the H.H. Franklin Club. His greatest joy was in his family and spending time together, especially at the beach.
He is survived by his mother, Eula D. Gould Allison of Dubois, PA., his wife of 35 years, Theresa “Terri” Dorrion Allison whom he married July 27, 1979, 4 Children – Thomas R. Allison, Jr. of Ocala, FL., Joseph Thomas Allison and wife, Rachel, Shawn Patrick Allison and wife, Anique all of Elmira, N.Y., Kristen Camille Allison-Johnson and husband, Neil of Kane, PA., Mother-in-law, Sally Dorrion of Clarendon, PA., 1 Brother – Calvin E. Allison and wife, Cheryl of Waldorf, MD., 2 brother-in-laws, Thomas W. Dorrion, Jr., and wife, Debbie of Warren, PA., Scott Dorrion and wife, Michelle of Williamsburg, VA., 2 Grandchildren – Felicia Jones and husband, Owen of North Carolina, Arielle Louise Allison of Elmira, N.Y., 2 Great Granddaughters, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Joseph Allison,

Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. In observance of the 4th of July, nothing will be held on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA. Fr. James Gutting Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Warren, PA. full military honors will be conducted by the John Gertsch Memorial Vietnam funeral detail and the U.S. Army. Our condolences to the entire Allison family…Buzz graduated wIth Tom, and I graduated two years later. in the fall of 1960 several of us stayed later at school to listen to the world series in Miss Duffy”s room 12 in DHS. That day we heard over the school PA system the amazing homer by Mazeroski (sp ?) to win the World Series.
