Teresa A. Sanden, 83, of Youngsville, PA died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Rouse Warren Co. Home after an extended illness.
She was born April 15, 1931 in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of William J. and Katherine Mansfield Nuhfer, Sr. Teresa was a resident of Youngsville, PA for the past 28 years and a former resident of Jamestown, N.Y. She was a 1949 graduate of Warren High School. She was employed for 16 years with Key Bank as a bank teller. She had previously been employed with the former New Process Company. She was a member of St. Luke’s R.C. Church and the church altar rosary society and was a former member of St. James R.C. Church, Jamestown, N.Y. She was a member of the Warren Senior Center, served as a Eucharistic Minister for shut-ins in Jamestown. She was an avid reader, a follower of the week day scripture readings and loved to pray the rosary.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, L. Eugene Sanden whom she married September 30, 1950 in Warren, PA. 4 Children – Frederick C. Sanden and wife, Susan of Newark, CA., Christal A. Rogers and husband, Patrick of Almond, N.Y., David E. Sanden and wife, Valerie of Coto De Casa, CA., John E. Sanden and wife, Nadine of Lake Forest, CA., 5 Brothers – William J. Nuhfer, Jr. and wife, Doris, Phillip Nuhfer and wife, Marion, Michael Nuhfer and wife, Beatrice all of Warren, PA., Thomas Nuhfer and wife, Sandra of Tiona, PA., Lawrence Nuhfer of Irvine, PA., 1 Sister – Martha Lafferty and husband, Joseph of Lakewood, CA., 1 Sister-in-law, Jane Nuhfer of Youngsville, PA., 12 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Nuhfer and sister, Delores Anthony.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:45 P.M. Additional visitation will be conducted at St. Luke’s R.C. Church, 420 N. Main Street, Youngsville, PA Monday, April 6th 2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. John Neff, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Jamestown, N.Y.
