Sven D. Blumquist, 23, of Warren, PA., died Saturday, July 7, 2018
at the Great Blue Heron Music Festival grounds, Sherman, N.Y.
after an accidental drowning. He was born March 18, 1995 in
Brookville, PA. Sven was a Warren resident his entire life and a
2013 graduate of Warren Area High School. He had been
employed with numerous businesses. He had been an active
member of North Warren Troop 13 Boy Scouts of America and
was one project away from receiving his Eagle Scout. While in
school he was a volunteer with Struthers Library Theatre where
he had roles in school plays. He was an extremely talented
musician, especially enjoyed playing guitar and keyboard. He
enjoyed writing music, canoeing, hiking at Jakes Rocks and
meditating. He is lovingly remembered by his family as a person
who was the real deal. You saw the real person when you looked
at him, he wore no masks. He was highly intelligent and was a
person who always saw the good in others. He will be greatly
missed by his family and friends. A song he was currently in the
making, titled “Determine” went like this, So much wasted
potential while sitting and thinking I’m special, although I’ll
admit I’m a measure of odd, illustrated façade in depth, yet
spectral, digressive, obsessive, and constantly pensive. What
more could I say but objective?
He is survived by his mother, Michelle R. Weaver Baker and her
husband, Kurt Baker of Warren, PA., his father, Robert A.
Blumquist and his wife, Melissa of North East, PA., his Paternal
Grandmother – Margaret “Peg” A. Morton Blumquist of Warren,
PA., his Maternal Grandfather – Robert L. Beam of Titusville, PA.,
1 Sister – Heather Burkett of Nu Mine, PA., 1 Brother – Robert P.
Burkett and his fiancé, Regina Britton of Clearfield, PA., 2
Stepsisters – Sierra R. and Molly I. Long both of North East, PA.
Also survived by, 2 nieces several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sven was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather – Frank
“Bill” Blumquist, of whom he had a special bond and inherited
special qualities from.

Boomer,
They say it gets better, but I have grown to learn that one gets used to the idea, but it never really gets better. Take your comfort with your memories that you’ve made with Sven. You and you’re family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God help you during these hard days to come.
Never forgotten,
Nancy (Dies) Campbell
