Stanley Zimbicki, Jr., 74, of Russell, PA., died suddenly of a heart attack after shooting his buck on the opening day of deer season, November 30, 2024. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA., on August 21, 1950, he was the son of Dorothy Hoeflich and Stanley Zimbicki, Sr. Stanley has resided in Russell, PA., area for many years. He was employed in Jamestown, N.Y. as a welder at Dawsons, retiring from there. He was an accomplished trapshooter, he loved to hunt and fish. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family and friends. He is remembered for being a great dad, husband and brother.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cindy Walsh Zimbicki, whom he married April 25, 1980, in Pittsburgh, PA., 2 Sons – Jim Zimbicki and wife, Jill, Stanley Zimbicki and significant other, Sean, all of Pittsburgh, PA., 2 Grandchildren – Brice and Chase Zimbicki, Brother – Don Zimbicki of Pittsburgh, PA., 4 Sisters – Marlene Fricano of Wrightsville, N.C., Joyce Taylor and husband, Bryan of Westfield, N.Y., Dorothy Moretti and husband, Mark of Carnegie, PA., Karen Zimbicki of Raleigh, N.C., several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Dale Haight, officiating.
