Surrounded by her family, Sandra A. Bullock, 72, of Warren, PA. passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 23, 2014 at Warren General Hospital following an extended illness. She was born January 13, 1942 in Jamestown, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Earl V. and Inez Schaefer Laih. She was a 1959 graduate of Warren High School. On July 9, 1960, Sandra married Robert C. Bullock at the former St. Clara’s R.C. Church of Clarendon, PA. They enjoyed 50 years, filled with love, centered around family until his death on November 17, 2010. She was a former resident of Portville, NY for 21 years where she and her husband operated a distributorship for Warren Concrete and then Kistner Concrete. She had previously been employed with numerous occupations throughout Warren County. She enjoyed meeting friends for coffee, and she had a gift of having lifelong friends. She enjoyed going out to eat and crocheting. She was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, where she was an active volunteer. Her greatest joys in life were her 3 granddaughters, who brought her much pride and love. Sandra was a strong willed, loving wife, mother and grandmother, who even had the strength to beat cancer.
She is survived by her children – Robert M. Bullock and his wife, Melissa of Warren, PA., Lisa A. Nianiatus and husband, George of Olean, N.Y., 3 Granddaughters – Heather Bullock Taylor and her husband, Seth of Shrewsbury, PA., Christa Nianiatus of Olean, NY, Kayla Bullock of Warren, PA, 3 Sisters – Yvonne Frame and husband, Ernest of Raeford, N.C., Mary Kay Shaver and husband, Dennis of Sheffield, PA., Renee Blymiller and husband, Gary of Barnes, PA., 1 Brother – Earl “Butch” Laih of FL., Sister-in-law, Carolyn Rockwell of Warren, PA., 3 Brother-in-laws, William Bullock and wife, Peg of Apache Junction, AZ., Dennis Bullock and wife, Gloria of Forestville, N.Y., Wayne Bullock and Helen Knisley of Warren, PA., 1 Aunt – Mary Gesey of Old Lyme, CT., several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Dorotics.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:45 P.M. conducted by Deacon Joseph Lucia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating, assisted by Deacon Lucia. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
