I’m not sure how i met Ruth, probably from working at the holy redeemer church over the years; and seeing her there helping out at different times. I would see her at the grocery also and we would always have a nice conversation. She knew some of my relations, and i always enjoyed talking with her. My father passed just recently and i know the sorrow of losing a loved one, your in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Judith and Family,
Ruthie was a spark in the Holy Redeemer Family… always full of spunk and energy! She was so devoted to your dad and was deeply saddened when he passed. But, just like Ruthie, she didn’t dwell on the loss. For 12 years she continued to get pies for Altar Rosary fundraisers, run for Fair Senior queen and sell tickets to soooo many church functions and charitable organizations.
She will be missed as will her twinkling eyes and bubbly personality. We know she is in the glory of God with Jim and they are whooping it up. God Bless you.
Dear Judith and Family
We at Stone Consulting new Ruthie very well. She would come in to visit, especially Frances Campbell and myself and to sell us whatever tickets she happened to be selling that day. We always enjoyed her visits and were very sorry to see her losing her strength and stamina these last 6 months or so.
I was happy to trim the grape vines that husband Jim planted many years ago.
Last year I asked her to sell tickets for a Rotary and Exchange Club function. Ruthie single handedly sold almost $1,000 worth of tickets for our group. She sold almost 20% of all the tickets sold by our 70 members.
Both Frances and I were very touched by the things said at her Christian Burial Mass. We will miss her stories and her pleasant visits.
