Rose was part of the fabric of life in our community when I was growing up. She worked at Sylvania with my mother and often gave her rides since Mom didn’t own a car for decades. She was a fixture in and around St. Joseph’s school and church. She was always cheerful and nice to us kids as we grew up, and genuinely glad to say “Hello!” to us as adults. She made a lot of lives better for her having been among us.
I am not a relative, but for the past 70+ years she has and always will be my “Aunt Rose” and he my “Uncle Bob”. They were very supportive and special to my family.
Our children still hang their Christmas stockings she knitted for them some 50 years ago. Recently during a visit to Warren, she gave us several handmade crosses for my family…enough for all including spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She must have made hundreds for friends and relatives. We made family pictures with the crosses to send her, however, I’m afraid they all didn’t get to her in time.
Aunt Rose was a special lady, always giving and thinking of others. She will be missed by many.
Rest in peace with Uncle Bob.
Respectfully,
Dean Foote
