Ronald L. Jordan, 72, of Green Cove Springs, FL and formerly of Warren, PA. died at his residence, Monday, September 15, 2014. He was born April 12, 1942 in Warren, PA. Ron was a lifelong Warren area resident and was formerly of Tidioute, PA. for 10 years.
He was a graduate of Eisenhower High School and served with the U.S. Air Force where he received training in law enforcement. He was employed with the City of Warren Police Department as a patrolman for 20 years, retiring in 1992. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed shrimping. He especially loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play baseball. He was a superb cribbage player.
He is survived by his wife, Elli Chmielewske Jordan, 5 Children – Daniel and Jacqueline Jordan both of Kane, PA., Patrick Jordan and wife, Lisa of Warren, PA., Ronald Jordan of Kane, PA., Donald Jordan of Townville, PA., 4 Stepchildren – James Mechling and wife, Lisa of Tidioute, PA., Daniel Mechling and wife, Cheryl of Warren, PA., Jonathan Mechling of Scandia, PA., Desiree Mechling of Russell, PA. 3 Brothers – Donald Jordan and wife, Barbara of Green Cove Springs, FL. Tim Jordan and wife, Linda of Tiona, PA., Thomas Jordan of Warren, PA, 1 Sister Brenda Durnell of Russell, PA., 19 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Munch Onufer and stepfather, Michael Onufer, 1 Brother – Harry Willard.

Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a funeral service will be conducted Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. by Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Warren General Hospital, officiating. Full military honors will be conducted at Limestone Cemetery, Tidioute, PA. by members of John Gertsch Vietnam Memorial Post members. With loving memories of a great man with a clear mind, a steady hand and a warm heart. Him and Ellie were a remarkable couple that were always there for family and friends.
