Ronald Francis Spadafore, 81, of Warren, PA., died Friday,

August 14, 2015 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home after

a brief illness. He was born January 20, 1934 in Clermont, PA., to

the late Frank and Marjorie Carlson Spadafore. Ron had been

raised in Lawrence Park, PA., and was a 1951 graduate of

Lawrence Park High School. He attended Penn State University

and graduated in 1955. He had served two years in the U.S.

Army, 313th Army Security Agency Battalion. He worked to

maintain secure radio communication while stationed at Ft.

Bragg, N.C. After his military service, Ron eventually became a

Science Teacher, working at Beaty Junior High School in Warren,

PA. He taught science for many years, before getting certified in

Library Sciences. He then became Librarian at Beaty until his

retirement in 1989. Ron was a lifelong hunting enthusiast, with a

special passion for deer hunting. He was making plans to go

hunting this fall. He was also an avid sporting clays shooter and

member of Kalbfus Rod & Gun Club, and participated in

intermural competitions. As a volunteer he worked at the Warren

County Historical Society and Kalbfus Rod & Gun Club. For

many years, he enjoyed traveling to see his grandchildren, civil

war sites, and National Parks.

Ron is survived by his children – Laura Hilse and husband, Mark

of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Steven Spadafore and partner, Debby

of Lancaster, PA., 2 Grandchildren – Audra Hilse and Kendra

Brickley and husband, Luke all of Minneapolis, Minnesota, 1

Sister – Patricia Ewald and husband, William of Ashland, VA.,

longtime friend and companion, Liz Brown of Warren, PA.,

several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was

preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann George Spadafore.

Friends may call at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 Market

Street, Warren, PA., Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5 to 7 P.M.

to share stories and thoughts of Ron. Private interment will be at

the convenience of the family. Those wishing to place memorials
