Robert E. Wilcox, 85, of Warren, PA., died Sunday, January 24,
2016 at Golden Living-Kinzua Valley after a brief illness. He was
born June 2, 1930 in Mayburg, PA. Bob was the son of Robert H.
and Gladys Elizabeth Miner Wilcox. He was a longtime Warren
area resident and a graduate of Warren High School. He had
served with the U.S. Naval Reserve.
Bob was employed with the former G.T.E. Sylvania in the T & E
office, retiring in 1989 after 34 years employment.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church where he was a
church usher and member of the funeral luncheon committee. He
had served as a supervisor with Pleasant Township for 16 years.
Bob will always be remembered for always being a good father
and grandfather, whom he loved playing with along with the
dog. He was an avid reader and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He enjoyed woodworking and was instrumental in helping to
build his current home.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia McFarland Wilcox
whom he married July 14, 1956 in Warren, PA., 3 Children – Jeff
Wilcox and wife, Kim of Naperville, IL., Lisa Fowler and
husband, Jim of Columbus, MS., Johanna Niebrier of Chantilly,
VA., 1 Brother – Donald C. Wilcox and wife, Pearl of Shreveport,
LA., 6 Grandchildren – Grayson, Blak, Layton Wilcox all of
Naperville, IL., Zoie and Jimmy Fowler both of Columbus, MS.,
Zack Niebrier of Chantilly, VA., several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell St.,
Warren, PA., on Saturday, January 30, 2016, one hour prior to a
Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M., Fr. James Gutting, Pastor,
officiating, assisted by Deacon Joseph Lucia. Interment will be in
St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials may
