Robert L. Hennessy, 90, of Youngsville, PA., died Thursday
morning, April 21, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 4,
1925 in Rogertown, PA. Bob was the son of Fred W. and Orpha
Irwin Hennessey. He has resided in the Warren and Youngsville
area most of his entire life and was a Warren High School
graduate. Bob was employed with Interelectric as plant foreman
and at Solar Electric as night superintendent retiring in 1980 from
Meyers Corp. after 31 years employment.
He had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Seaman
1st Class where he spent 21 months serving in the Philippines,
earning the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Pacific and American
Theater Ribbons, and a Victory Medal. He was a member of St.
Luke R.C. Church, Clarendon V.F.W. Post 314, where he was a
Past Commander, former member of Pleasant Volunteer Fire
Department and the Warren Council of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his 3 children – Frances Hubbard of Plant City,
FL., Robert A. Hennessy and his wife, Joyce of Clarendon, PA.,
Rose Marie Hennessy of Warren, PA., 1 Brother – Sherman N.
Irwin of Warren, PA., 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren,
several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve C. Scalise Hennessy
whom he married August 17, 1946 in Warren, PA., who died June
18, 2012, Son-in-law, Gail Hubbard who died February 15, 2016,
5 Brothers – Donald, Kenneth, Richard, Fred and George A.

Friends may call at St. Luke R.C. Church, Youngsville, PA.,
Monday, April 25, 2016 from 10 to 11:00 A.M. when a Mass of
Christian Burial will be conducted by Fr. John Neff, Pastor,
officiating. Private entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the
Resurrection in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
