Robert E. “Bob” Woods, 85, of Warren, PA, died Thursday, October 6, 2016 at The Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA.
Born on May 14, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Erwin and Ruth Weiss Woods. Bob graduated from High School in Louisville, KY and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Warren Post Office in 1986. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting trap. He especially loved his boxer dogs.
Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Procious Woods, whom he married on March 5, 1954 in Brookville, PA. He is also survived by his 3 children – Susan (Ike) Borland of Warren, PA, Robert P. (Sheila) Woods of Woodinville, WA, and William Woods and his fiancé, Sue, of Locust Grove, VA, 5 Grandchildren – Brian, Mark, Megan, Laura and Ben, 3 Great-grandchildren – Carter, Grace and Jake, 1 Brother – David (Joyce) Woods of Ridgway, PA, 1 Sister – Linda (Ray) Yetzer of St. Marys, PA, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 10AM until 11AM, at which time a memorial service will be held with Rev. Nancy Schwanke, Chaplain of Warren State Hospital, officiating. Interment will be in Weiler Cemetery.
