Sam,
It was a privilege to know you and be a friend. You showed amazing strength; always positive; never an unkind word; adored by all involved in you care. I will always remember our beet and onion growing conversations. Goodbye my friend. I will think of you often; especially when I’m in my garden.

I don’t have enough words to say what a wonderful person Sam was. But all who knew him already know that.
Sammy, you were always a bright light in this often dark world and you truly made it a much better place just by being you. You had a never-ending supply of smiles and hugs and there will never be anything that can compare to a big ole Sam Hug. You fought the devil known as cancer so hard and for so long and your grace, strength, courage, and hope left me and many others in awe. You continued to be an inspiration all the way to the end. I’m eternally grateful for every bonus minute I got to spend with you over the last couple months, and especially the last few weeks before God took you away from us. He now has you wrapped in His arms and you can finally rest in pain-free peace. I know there are plenty of tractors for you to choose from up there.
I was truly blessed to have you as a friend. I love you, my dear friend, and I will try to be your light like you told me to be.
Sorry for the loss of Sam. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers for family.
