We’re very sorry for your loss. We’ve known Richard since the mid 90’s when he lived on Jackson Ave. He would take care of our yard when we went on vacation and keep an eye on our house on Hertzel St. He was always willing to help out when asked. He liked to visit and we enjoyed visiting with him. Please know that he will be greatly missed.
I went to school with Dick and I’ve enjoyed meeting with him at our recent class reunions. He was always excited and outgoing and I believe he felt a real connection to all of us from the class of ’70 as his family and friends. He was a wonderful guy, with a huge heart and I’m sorry he’s gone.
My deepest condolences to the family. I saw Dick at the Class of ’70 Reunion in 2010 and he seemed to really have a good time. He was a very nice person and will be missed by all who knew him. I’m very sad to hear of his passing.
I went to school with Dick he will be sadly missed at the next reunion. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could.I’m sorry to hear of his passing.
The Weldon family had known Richard for many, many years. He did lots of work for my parents and for my mother after my Dad died. We always included him in family parties and holidays. He loved telling stories and loved laughing at things HE said! We all got a chuckle out of some of his stories! His favorite expression was “ROCK N’ ROLL!” He loved talking about the next new truck he was going to buy and also what he would do if he won the lottery! He was such a hard worker! Not only did he work at the school all day…he worked until the evening hours taking care of many, many yards and many other misc. things! Our family couldn’t have gotten along without him. He was a hard worker and had a heart of gold. RIP Richard…..we will miss your smiling face! See you on the otherside!
Doug and I had known Dick for many years and he and Doug never tired of talking about the “big trucks”. He always had a huge smile and something nice to say about anyone he met. He was truly one of the “good guys” and he’ll be missed.
RIP Dicky, from a 1970 classmate. Always smiling and willing to help out.
See you someday on the other side old friend.
Dick always had a smile on his face, which brightened mornings in high school. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The faculty and staff at Warren Area High School would like to send our condolences to Richard’s family and friends. He was a wonderful man who was so kind, funny, and such a hard worker. He was so easy to talk to and would help anyone with anything if he could. We will definitely miss him.
He may have been the happiest guy at our last class reunion. It must have been a great memory for him. Requiescat in Pace.
