I am so sorry to learn of Pete’s passing. When I was very young Pete was our paper carrier and I used to give him the card to punch. He was so cool to me then, and later when I went to work in Dietary at Warren General Hospital with him as well. There were two jobs that high school boys typically did in the kitchen, “Walter’s job”, and “Pete’s job”. Pete’s was the 11AM-7:30PM shift, so you got to sleep in and still got out with plenty of evening left!! He always made work fun and did a good job. That was 25 years ago, and it seems like yesterday in some ways. I will always remember Pete with a smile and even a chuckle because that was what you got around him. We grew up in the same neighborhood, he was 6 years older…yet I always thought of him as a friend even as a kid.
I believe firmly that Pete has found peace and by God’s grace is now walking in heaven…
My thoughts and prayers are with all who mourn his loss, and it truly is a loss for all who knew him and maybe moreso for those who had not yet had the opportunity to know him…
deepest sympathy to the polley family. pete will be missed and remember.

I am very saddened to learn of the loss of a man who I have known, and cared for my entire life. Peter was my classmate at Lacy School, and one of those adorable, naughty Park Street Boys. We made the journey through our school days, graduating together, and then joining the workforce in the halls of Warren General Hospital. I have always loved him as a great friend, neighbor, and co-worker. I recall our grade school days when he would get in trouble for always being silly. He had those beautiful ice blue eyes with a little twinkle of deviance that made him so very special. I will never forget when he got his new green ten-speed bicycle, he let me ride it down Park Avenue. He neglected to tell me that I was to use the back brake first. I flipped over the handle bars, and scraped myself all up. He picked me up and wiped away my tears, and walked me home. What a gentle kind young man. Through the years, I have come love Pete more and more. He was just always there, doing his thing at Warren General, making people smile. I always teased him and said that he got more handsome with age, and he truly did. I am very sorry that you have lost such a special man. I wish that we could have saved him somehow. My heart is heavy with sorrow in his loss, and my prayers are of comfort to you, his family who have lost a kind, gentle, beautiful soul. Please find comfort in knowing that he touched so many in a positive way. I will miss him deeply. May the Lord Bless you and keep you in His care.
Rest in peace Pete. You were always so happy and had a smile that noone would forget. I’ve thought of you often and will continue those thoughts. Love you my friend……….
