Mary Walker, 94, of Clarendon, PA., died Saturday evening, July 7, 2018 at the residence of her daughter, after a brief illness. She was born in Warren, PA., on May 9, 1924. Mary was the daughter of John and Lucy Vasami Denardi. She was a resident of Clarendon for 70 years. Mary was a 1943 graduate of Warren High School. She was employed as a department head with the former Allegheny Buffalo China Company. She was a former member of St. Clara’s R.C. Church and a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church and served on the banquet committee. Mary had served as a Girl Scout Leader in Clarendon, PA., member of Clarendon V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer and Neighborhood Crusade leader with the American Cancer Society and was an Election Poll Worker.
She is survived by her two daughters – Deborah Dobberstein and husband, David of Erie, PA., Diane Finley and husband, Dirk of Clarendon, PA., 1 Brother – Frank Denardi of Warren, PA., 1 Grandson – Jude Harter and wife, Ashley, 2 Granddaughters – Melissa Treacy and husband, James and Allison Hodell and husband, Chris, 5 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Marion J. Walker who died December 8, 2001 whom she married July 23, 1949 in Warren, PA., 4 Brothers – Charles, Sam, Nick and Bob Denardi, 1 Sister – Jennie Denardi.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, Gathering Space 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA., from 10:00 A.M. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Ian McElrath, Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph R.C. Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. I am so sorry for your loss. Mary was my next door neighbor and one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met in my life, every time I talked to her she put a smile on my face. She will be greatly missed.
