Mary S. Tassone Bobby, 91, of Hermitage, PA., and formerly of Warren, PA., died Tuesday evening, June 11, 2024, in Ashtabula, OH. Mary was born February 3, 1933, in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of John A. and Camilla Rizzo Tassone. She has resided the last 44 years in Hermitage, PA., moving there from Warren, PA. Mary was the owner and operator for 9 years, of the former Book Rack in Warren, PA. She was co-owner of the Book Rack Bookstore in Hermitage, PA. Mary was a former member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, Warren, PA. She was an avid gardener, lover of the outdoors and a member of the Hermitage American Legion Bocce and Cornhole Group.
Mary is survived by her children – Katrina L. Pavolino and husband, Richard of Ashtabula, OH., Harold “Jim” Benson and Peggy, of Leechburg, PA.
3 Stepsons – Fred A. Bobby of Hermitage, PA., Steve A. Bobby and wife, Brenda, of Germantown, MD., Thomas A. Bobby and wife, Donna, of Sharpsville, PA. 2 Grandsons – Nathan Walters and wife, Tamara, Andrew Bobby, 2 Great Grandchildren – Monroe and Summit Walters.
Several nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Harold “Hike” Benson, 2nd husband, Frederick E. Bobby, 2 Brothers – Nick A. Tassone, Joseph Tassone, Sr., 2 Sisters – Rose Rizzo and Jennie DeMarco, 1 Granddaughter – Kelsey Walters.
A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA.
